SELF CARE DURING FULL MOON

Make the most of the full moon by making self care your priority with the steps below.

1. Ground, Ground, and Ground

This is first on the list as it’s the most important. The magnetic pull of The Moon is strong – and if there’s a tendency to come out of your body when you feel strong emotions, Grounding is important. If you do nothing else at The Full Moon – ground. It’s especially helpful just before bed as being rooted in the body aids a better sleep.

2. Give Thanks & Celebrate

We have a tendency to want to manifest more more and more, but creating our world really does start with recognising what we already have in the present. Whatever we do at The Full Moon is amplified, so I give thanks and take the time to feel the effects in my body.

3. Drink Coconut Water

Anthony William states that drinking coconut water at the Full Moon is beneficial.

‘Coconut in the evening is ideal for those who have trouble sleeping during a Full Moon. The coconut provides extra mineral salts and electrolytes for your neurotransmitters and electrical impulses; this helps defend you from the Full Moon’s subtle gravitational pull.’

He also gives the insight in his book Life Changing Foods that;

‘For those struggling with infertility or other disorders of the reproductive system, take note that coconut water’s trace minerals and electrolytes nourish your reproductive tissue.’

4. Breathe Deeply

The pull of The Moon can bring up strong sensations and emotions – and sometimes this is uncomfortable. However it’s a prime opportunity to feel more and allow the emotion to unfurl. A very practical and grounded way to do so is to focus on the breath and breathe a little deeper than you would normally.

I suggest putting your hands on your Womb and Heart and taking a few deep breaths and feeling for as long as feels ok, then take a break and repeat the exercise again when you feel relaxed and ok to feel more.

5. Go For A Moon Walk

Walking in the lunar light in nature can be particularly magical!

Watch how the trees move and interact; with The Moon, the wind, with you, and listen, really listen in to the sounds of nature. It can be a truly magical and intimate experience!

6. Bless Your Own Womb

Yes! we can bless our own Womb.

We are moving into a chapter of time of self-initiation. Of Sovereignty on our Spiritual Path.

The time of the external Guru – or one who can initiate us – or bless us – has been useful. However, there is another way. If we share our experience and tools with each other, we can do the work to power ourselves up. This is empowerment.

Of course it’s helpful to have a guide. But to believe that another can initiate us into the ‘mysteries‘ of our own womb is a fallacy.

To bless our own Womb – we can simply remember that it is already blessed.

Here’s an exercise to do so….

***

Simply go outside, gaze at the Full Moon with your hands on your Womb. Breathe steadily and fully and drink in the Lunar light. Feel it going into every cell, breathe it around your whole Womb Centre – that’s the ovaries, fallopian tubes, womb, cervix and yoni.

…and remember.

Remember that The Womb is already a Sacred Portal. Already Created with Love by The All and Everything. Already an access point for Spirit to manifest as both physical life and consciousness.

***

Finish by grounding again and giving thanks.

You can do this every Full Moon. If you feel one particular aspect of your reproductive system needs extra attention, then focus there for longer.

7. Take A Long Luxurious Bath

The Moon affects the tides, the Oceans, the water in our body.

To get in touch with this aspect of nature within and around us – take a long bath.

Add in Epson Salts, your favourite essential oil, play some soothing music, light candles and relax.

Envisioning bathing under the moonlight (unless of course you have an outdoor bath!) can also be very sensual!

8. Sleep With The Curtains Open

So much light can come in from The Moon (and from light pollution), however it is natural to experience more light at this time and even though this may mean we get a little less sleep, it helps us attune with The Moon Cycle.

This can also help regulate our menstrual cycle.

Consequently at The Dark Moon, or New Moon; sleep with the curtains shut and a black-out eye mask on.

Feel this rhythm, is to live the rhythm.

9. Allow Dreams To Flow

As the magnetic pull of The Moon pulls on the water in our body, it moves emotions – and we process these emotions as we’re sleeping.

At The Full Moon dreams can be more of the ‘processing’ type and seem jumbled or confusing.

Some dreams are our psyche processing stuff and picking through it is like a dog chasing it’s tail.

10. Ground & Integrate

Whatever you’ve done on the night of The Full Moon, take time to feel into the effects the next day.

Have a journal by your bed so that when you wake up – before you get up – there’s time to feel, to breathe, to Be.

Wishing you a beautiful Full Moon.
