FAQ'S
Cruelty-free products are those that are not tested on animals at any stage of their development. This includes both the ingredients used and the final product itself.
Opting for cruelty-free products helps protect animals from unnecessary harm and suffering. By supporting brands that do not conduct animal testing, you promote ethical practices and encourage the development of alternative testing methods.
While we do our best to offer vegan and cruelty free products, not all of our products are certified vegan and organic.
For example, in some instances, honey is used as an ingredient. Some products have a mixture of organic and non-organic ingredients.
The best way to find your favourite preference is to use the 'sort by' option on each collection page. If you select 'vegan' it will show all products that are vegan. Likewise for organic and other options available within the 'sort by' menu.

The soft, smoky tendrils rising from an incense stick or cone have, for thousands of years, evoked a sense of serenity, spirituality, and mysticism. From the grand halls of ancient temples to the intimate corners of modern homes, incense has been an ever-present aromatic companion. But what is it about incense that makes it so universally adored and revered? Let's embark on a journey through time, exploring the many layers and uses of this age-old aromatic tool.
Incense: A Brief Tryst with History
The history of incense is as old as civilisation itself. Ancient cultures from the East to the West utilised aromatic resins and herbs for a variety of purposes:
Spiritual Practices: In ancient Egypt, incense was believed to appease the gods and played a pivotal role in rituals. In India, it became an essential part of religious ceremonies.
Meditation and Healing: Monks and spiritualists in Asia have long used incense to aid meditation, believing that its aroma can facilitate focus and inner peace.
Aromatic Ambiance: Beyond the religious and spiritual, incense was also cherished for its pleasant fragrance, making environments warm and welcoming.
A Symphony of Scents for Every Setting
Incense comes in a plethora of fragrances, each carrying its own mood and emotion. Whether you desire the calming notes of lavender, the invigorating aroma of citrus, or the grounding scent of sandalwood, there's an incense for every setting:
Home Sanctuaries: After a long day, the soothing aroma of incense can transform your home into a peaceful sanctuary. Choose calming scents to melt away stress and induce relaxation.
Workspace: Need to boost creativity and focus? Fragrances like lemon, mint, or rosemary can revitalise your senses and enhance productivity.
Beyond Aroma: The Deeper Benefits of Incense
While the fragrant allure of incense is undeniable, its benefits are manifold:
Cleansing Rituals: Many believe that incense, especially sage, can cleanse spaces of negative energies. The act of 'smudging' or burning sage has its roots in Native American traditions.
Intention Setting: As the incense burns, it's a common practice to set intentions, making it a potent tool in manifestation rituals.
Spiritual Grounding: Incense aids in grounding, aligning one with their spiritual self. It acts as a bridge between the earthly and the divine.
Emotional Balance: Certain aromas can stimulate the release of specific neurotransmitters in the brain, promoting feelings of joy, relaxation, or alertness.
Choosing the Right Incense for Your Purpose
Given the vast variety of incense available, choosing the right one can be daunting. Here's a quick guide:
For Meditation: Opt for fragrances that aid concentration like frankincense, myrrh, or lotus.
For Sleep: Lavender, chamomile, and vanilla can lull you into a deep slumber.
For Energy and Vitality: Citrusy scents like orange, lemon, or grapefruit can invigorate your senses.
For Spiritual Rituals: Sandalwood, sage, and palo santo are traditionally used for spiritual practices and rituals.
Incense Etiquette: Burning Safely
While incense provides a plethora of benefits, it’s essential to ensure safety:
Ventilation: Always ensure the room is well-ventilated.
Safe Holders: Use a proper holder or burner to prevent any fire hazards.
Keep Away from Flammables: Place your incense away from curtains or any flammable items.
The Timeless Allure of Incense
Incense, with its myriad scents and uses, stands as a testament to humanity's innate desire to elevate ordinary experiences, be it a simple evening at home or a profound spiritual journey. It's not just about the fragrance but the ambiance, the feelings, and the memories they evoke.
Incorporating incense into your daily routine can be transformative. It serves as a reminder of the beauty of tradition and the potential of the present. So, the next time you light an incense stick or cone, take a moment to inhale deeply, set an intention, and let its fragrant smoke carry your thoughts and wishes into the universe.
